Marvin "So Marvelous" Paige was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. Marvin grew up listening, singing and creating music. He pursued his passion at an early age joining several local production teams and boy bands and traveled the east coast area as a member of York Records' singing group The Studants.
While in high school, Marvin took part in a mentoring program where he joined Black Wax Productions. Here he learned the ins and outs of music production studying with hip hop producers Kyle "Majik" Jackson and Kriss Jackson. He eventually became the head of their R&B Division and soon learned how the art of music production would become such a prominent part of his life`s passion.
During his late teens, Marvin was introduced to Uptown Records A&R Kurt Woodely. Woodley signed a deal with Skip Miller and the RCA record label. Marvin was then signed to RCA as an artist when he was a member of the R&B group Prime. It was here that Marvin worked with artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Horace Brown and label mate Black Girl.
1996 brought the opportunity to work as in-house producer at Death Row Records. He served in this position for several years, producing music for artists on the label's roster, such as Michel'le and The Realest, Skg, Crooked I and others.
Marvin states, "I was a part of one of the most powerful record labels in the history of the music industry, exposing me to the highest level of artistry, branding and musicianship that inspired and shaped me as I was developing my craft."
After his tenure at Death Row Records, Marvin decided to expand his horizons and signed a music library agreement with We3Kings where he has had his music placed on NBC`s Access Hollywood and The Steve Harvey Show, MTV Cribs, Lifetime's Dance Moms, Style Network's Jerseylicious & Chicagolicious and others.
Marvin is currently in the studio working on many projects soon to be released including Marjane, Diamond Legacy, Big Undadog, 2 Much The Rebel, Rina, Drell, The Derty Mac`s, Forever Amber and Rk True Soldier.
Marvin has learned that successful people in the industry never forget where their strength comes from. That's why he always put his faith in God first. And he understands the value of family being married for 14 years and a father to 3 sons, 2 daughters, 1 grandchild and 3 God Children. Marvin served as the Music Director/Worship Leader at New Covenant Tabernacle in California for 6 years.
Marvin is excited and proud to be a part of the W3K family.
