Damon Johnson is a multi-faceted artist and musician, born in Macon, Georgia, raised in the great state of Alabama. His unique skills as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and entertainer have carried him around the world many times.
Damon first came on the national music scene in the 1990's as the frontman, guitarist and principal songwriter for Brother Cane. The band released three albums on Virgin Records (the self titled debut which sold 250,000 copies, "Seeds," and "Wishpool") that would yield three 1 singles on rock radio ("Got No Shame," "And Fools Shine On," and "I Lie in the Bed I Make"). Brother Cane toured extensively as a headliner and also as a supporting act on tours by Van Halen, Aerosmith, Robert Plant, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Candlebox.
Over the last decade, Damon has had his songs recorded by a wide array of artists: from Stevie Nicks to Carlos Santana, to Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, and Queensryche. He has also played guitar on recordings by Faith Hill, John Waite, Alice Cooper and even the legendary Temptations.
Damon has contributed to several other projects in recent years. He sang and played guitar in Slave To The System (featuring Queensryche drummer, Scott Rockenfield), recorded an alternative rock album as bassist/vocalist for Red Halo, was the touring guitarist for legendary rockers Alice Cooper and Thin Lizzy and was a member of the country rock vocal group, Whiskey Falls. He is currently a member and is touring the with Black Star Riders. Damon is proud to be a part of the W3K family. |
